Last Week's Trivia Winner:
What restaurant in New York is credited with the distinction of being the birthplace of the Tony Awards? That would be Sardi’s located at 234 West 44th Street. The official name of the Tony Award is The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theater. Brock Pemberton, Perry’s partner, was sitting in Sardi’s having lunch when he came up with the idea of creating a series of awards to honor the recently deceased Broadway actress/producer; and for many of the early years during the award's history Sardi's was the place where the nominees were announced each year.
Congratulations to Joseph Marino of North Andover, our winner last week. Thanks to all for playing and good luck this week!
